Explore wild offshore islands, dramatic rocky headlands and beautiful isolated beaches!

North Wales is famous for its world-class sea kayaking: the exciting headlands of Anglesey, the wild grandeur of the Llŷn peninsula, the unique tidal environment of the Menai Strait. The quality of the kayaking is unforgettable, offering memorable experiences for active sea kayakers. Wind and tide combine to create magnificent coastal journeys and guaranteed adventures for the sea kayaker happy to be led in moderate sea conditions.

This guided experience explores the classic sea kayaking destinations of the North Wales coastline. We’ll select fantastic coastal journeys and explore the best of this environment during our time together.

Example Adventure Days

Holy Island: The jewel in the Anglesey crown, this westernmost edge of the island offers dramatic sea cliffs and rocky stacks, deep sea caves, exciting tidal streams and rock gardens.

Skerries: The wild offshore Skerries islands, with its resident seal colony and nesting seabirds, impressive tidal streams, cliffs and caves at Carmel Head, fascinating navigation and an exciting journey into the Irish Sea.

Anglesey North Coast: Tidal streams, islands and headlands all add spice to this wonderful sea kayak venue – we often find good kayaking here when west coast venues are too big. It’s a historic place too, with Celtic legends and archeological sites to explore – a classic sea kayak journey awaits!

Bardsey Island: Offshore island paddling at the ‘Lands End’ of Wales – historic Celtic legends, tide races, cliffs, an isolated atmosphere and fantastic wildlife. One of the UK’s most iconic sea kayak journeys, we’ll seek calm conditions for this committing trip.

Menai Strait: Fast tidal streams between the historic bridges, surf waves and eddy lines – with possible surf at Newborough and wildlife viewing at Puffin Island.
