Essential Frostbite Weekend 2022

Join our Essential Frostbite Sea Kayak Coaching Weekend!

Enjoy a late-winter sea kayak weekend with 2-3 days of excellent sea kayak coaching! Make the most of conditions, have great fun afloat and develop dynamic water skills in a positive learning environment.

We’ll organise compatible groups, agree objectives, and create two progressive coaching days to meet your goals.
We’ll match the coaching venues and paddling conditions to your aims and experience.

Where?
The fantastic sea kayaking environment of Anglesey, North Wales – 360 degrees of high quality coastline, tide races, rocky coves, islands and surf beaches… It’s all here!

When?
19-20 February 2022!

Is it for me?
If you’re seeking to develop and refine your moderate / advanced water skills, we’ll provide a safe, supportive coaching environment. We’re offering 3 levels –

  1. Introducing dynamic water skills – heading into moderate conditions
  2. Introducing rough water skills – enhancing moderate water skills
  3. Developing rough water skills – for paddlers confident in advanced conditions

You should be able to cope with 15kts winds and 2kts tidal streams – rolling skills are not required for level 1 paddlers.
We also welcome more experienced paddlers seeking skill development in rough water conditions.

Each day we will choose suitable sections of the Anglesey coastline, and will provide enjoyable coaching sessions pitched at the right level for your experience and confidence. Join us for a great start to the paddling year!

Accommodation?
We recommend Anglesey Outdoors – www.angleseyoutdoors.com – who have private rooms, bunk house, camping and an onsite bar & catering. We will be based at Anglesey Outdoors for the weekend and will meet you there each day.

Please your organise your accommodation choice directly with the Anglesey Outdoors staff team.

What’s the cost?
2 full days of dedicated sea kayak coaching, in a maximum group size of 6 like-minded paddlers:
£150

You are also welcome to join us for an extra day, on Friday 18 February – follow our online booking guidance.
